Honey-coloured stone façades, revamped quays along the Garonne, markets, wine bars and chefs' tables: Bordeaux is best enjoyed on foot or by tram. Part of the city, the "Port of the Moon", is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the house, the city centre is a ten-minute walk.
- The city centre (10 min on foot): Rue Sainte-Catherine, Place de la Comédie and the Grand-Théâtre, the café terraces of the Saint-Pierre district.
- Tram and bus (4 min on foot): To reach the quays, Saint-Jean station or the Chartrons without taking the car.
- Place de la Bourse and the Water Mirror (By tram or on foot): The most photographed façade in Bordeaux, reflected in one of the largest water mirrors in the world.
- La Cité du Vin (By tram): An immersive museum devoted to the wines of the world, with a view over the Garonne from the belvedere.
- Saint-Émilion (About 45 min): A UNESCO-listed medieval village among the vineyards, reachable by car or by train from Saint-Jean station.
- Lacanau and the ocean (About 1 hour's drive): And the Maison du Lac, to end your stay by the water.
